My Trip to Colombia
During my trip to Colombia, I went to three attraction sites. I went to beaches, museums, and parks! I went on one of the most famous beaches, El Valle. I went to a museum called Museo del Oro, where the attractions were about gold. Parque Nacional Natural Isla Gorgona was a park that I went to.
While I was at El Valle, I got to surf the waves just like my mother did when she was younger. I also got to witness the Estacion Septiembre, which is an event where turtles lay there eggs between September through December.
After my visit to El Valle, I went to the museum called Museo del Oro. This museum was renovated as a gold museum with over 55,000 pieces of gold. Luckily, the museum has descriptions of the pieces of gold in Spanish and in English. There were three floors of this amazing place. The first floor was just pieces of gold on display from different regions of Colombia. The second floor was about how to get the gold in the many regions of Colombia. And the last floor was about how the gold was used in rituals.
The final attraction that I went to visit was Parque Nacional Natural Isla Gorgona. This is a national park, but it wasn't in 1960-1984. Between those years, the park used to be a prison. The flooring of the park was just like being in a prison and before you enter, guards would inspect your bags for any fishing gear. The only main reason that I came here was to go scuba diving and whale-watching.
Sadly, my trip came to an end. I came back to Idaho where I was living. Yet I told my entire family of my trip at Colombia; of course not by myself.
